Uniform (Return to members page)

Explorer Scouts is part of a uniformed organisation, and so therefore has a uniform that members wear. This uniform is worn on official occasions, and in some units once a month.

The uniform consists of a dark beige shirt or blouse (those members who used to be a member of an Air or Sea Scout Group have the right to wear the appropriate blue shirt/blouse) along with navy trousers or skirt.

Members also wear a black neckerchief and woggle which is provided by the unit leader. Young Leaders may wear the necker of the group that they help.

The badges and awards that Explorers can earn (see the awards section) are worn on the uniform. A diagram of were these badges should be sewn can be downloaded here: Explorer Diagram (pdf)
